Body is the most important component to support the vehicle, and it is the base of the suspension, chassis and accessories. Meanwhile, it is the key component of enduring the alternating load. So the intension of body is very important. At present, the estimate methods of body intension are bench test and road test. However, there have no unitive criterion, and the test methods were established by automobile manufactures with abundant experience and longtime accumulation. Therefore, establishing the own test methods of body intension is necessary to development of new vehicle for automobile manufactures. The purpose of this paper is to draw some conclusion about two body bench test methods by comparing the simulation results of bench tests and directs the establishment of the test method. In the paper, first, the author calculate the load of suspension to the body by multi-body-dynamic software ADAMS; then calculate the stress contours and fatigue of body; calculate the stress contours and fatigue of body; finally compare the simulation results between two bench tests and draw conclusion of test method. From the research, a few important regulation and conclusion about constrain location, load distribution, value and frequency of body intension bench methods. It is benefit to establish body intension test and evaluating system.
