Adding storey on masonry structure is quite popular at present. As an innovative technique, the light-weight structure has been paid more attention. However there are no relation parameters, in current code about the calculation after adding storey with direct storey-adding method of light-weight steel structure, and it leads to bitter accidents after storey-adding frequently. Based on colligating development and actuality about domestic and foreign technique of storey-adding , by using ANSYS, according to add one storey steel portal frame on one-storey, two-storey, and three-storey masonry structure namely "2+1" "4+1" "6+1" . This paper has made a systematic theory analysis, including static analysis mode analysis spectrum analysis. In the meanwhile it discussed the infection between upper structure and below structure. In addition it got the rule of force and displacement about storey-adding of light-weight steel structure under action of each load, Emphasisly researched the whipcord effect in complexion beyond the height limitation; Anddemonstrated that the storey-adding beyond the height limitation is feasible. On the whole, The research in this paper offers theoretical reference for revising and perfecting the present criterion. It is hopefully expected to serve as an example for later similar storey-adding reconstruction projects.
