Water is one of absolutely necessary resources used for human being. Due to the relative shortage of water resource, the application of water recycling is emerging significantly and urgently. Water industries have been the new-built specialized industries. Middling water, as a type of recycling water available for water resource, undoubtedly the production of social development. Presently most of the water process and control systems have been established in such pattern as based on a large-scale water process operation. So is the same for our country to attach the middling water engineering to being under a sewerage process factory. This traditional pattern fails to suit the situation of our country which is characterized as local decentralization, more population, less focus on the application of waters, etc. As a result, it appears to be urgent to explore an economically and nationally new technology for water recycling.This paper, according to the situation of our country, presents a new general control system for middling water recycling which aims to be the design for the use of residential communities with all-purpose conveniences. Analysis and discussed are made in details on this system especially in its water process technology, membrance segregation technology, and control system. Through the cooperation with Harbin Yishicheng Technology Trading Co., Ltd., the pilot experiments in residential community has successfully achieved its prospective goal.The complete design of this system includes: the introduction of nano-filtration membrance technology to water segregation; the adoption of PLC and touch screen in control system; the modularized technology for programme design; RS-232 communication serial interface technology and the related programming.The main achievements of this system are as followed:1. Nano-filtration membrance technology is introduced into water segregation. This new rising technology is provided with the characteristics of anti-permeationand hyper-filtration. It serves effective in salt-filtration and superior in use of water color, moisture, rigidity, large molecule organic substance and microorganism to the current applied technology. And this technology can be applied in a relative small area and be easily provided with after-service. The use of it in residential community will show great scientific value for its spreading and development.2. The adoption of a control system for middling water recycling focuses on PLC. This system can realize its transmission of data and real-time monitoring for water quality.3. The maintenance or after-service restrains this system from widespread application. Therefore, based on the rational of software design, this paper contrives an interface electrocircuit to connect lower computers to upper computers, programmes a serial communication, realizes the bidirectional communications between real-time information and control center, simplifies the maintenance process and eases the workload.4. The technological control coefficients can be changed at any moment to transmit information while connected to computers. This system can be designed into grade one, grade two and grade three based on related coefficients limited, so one system like this in pint-sized design is firmly able to replace the position of a large-scale control system.This research indicates that the design and application of this system can promote the availability of water resource, and enhance water supply. This kind of pint-sized control system is provided with the characteristics of easy-to-control, installation, operation and feasibility, which will be adjusted to many kinds of industries, such as sewerage process, irrigation in agriculture, pharmacy, etc. Additionally, this system presents its more practicability in which the selection of parts of this apparatus has been taken into the consideration of cost and matching.
