Due to the issue of the source water pollution is increasingly sev ere, thelimitation of the conventional water treatment process, and the drinking water qualitystandard has been constantly improved, it’s particularly important to develop efficientand healthy drinking water treatment technology. How to use the appropriate methodsto reform the water treatment plants and ensure the quality of effluent water is stable,safe and reliable, has become the research hot spot in water treatment industry. Inview of this, the article combined the technology of fiber bundle filt ration and variouscharacteristics of ultrafiltration preprocessing facilities, designed a new kind ofpretreatment process-lateral flow fiber filter, then studied on the combinationtechnology of micro flocculation-lateral flow filtration-UF to deal with micro pollutedwater.The effect of different initial filtration velocities at1.7m/h,2.9m/h,3.8m/hrespectively on such parameters as the effective filtration cycle, water quality,filtration velocities, periodic quantity of water produce was analyzed. Then use thefilter performance evaluation index BFI to evaluate the filter performance, the resultshow that when the initial filtration velocity is2.9m/h the filter can reach the optimalperformance. By observing the process and data, the filtration mechanism of the filtercan be summarized as mechanical deposition, physical and chemical adsorption,microbial flocculation and decomposition. According to the water coagulation beakerexperiment with the water from jixian hotel north mountain pool, p oly aluminiumchloride as a coagulant was determined, and the best coagulant dosing quantity was6mg/l. According to the determined lateral flow filter operating parameters,the devicehad been operated continuously in the condition of normal temperature a nd normalturbidity, low temperature and low turbidity, normal temperature and highturbidity.The purification effect of both the micro flocculation-lateral flow filtrationand direct lateral flow filtration on these three water qualities were investigated,which indicated that the micro flocculation-lateral flow filtration is moreadvantageous to the pollutants removal. Then the article summarized the effect oftemperature and turbidity to the water purification. Finally, the combined process ofmicro flocculation-lateral flow filter-UF had been operated steadily to deal withslightly polluted source water. The results show that the process had good and stableeffect on the removal of turbidity, UV254, CODMnand ammonia nitrogen, the indicators were up to the drinking water standard. At the same time, the preprocessingof micro flocculation-lateral flow filter effectively reduced the burden of subsequentultrafiltration membrane device. It also indicated that lateral flow filter as apretreatment process of ultrafiltration device had a certain feasibility.
