Affinity Of Urban Public Landscape Space

With the accelerating development of Chinese urbanization, urban public landscape spaces are being busily built nowadays. However the constructions used to focus on the appreciation function of the landscape space, and neglected the behavioral and psychological requirement of people—its actual service target. Consequently the design brings on loss of pace and inefficient utilization of landscape space, which makes it impossible for the urban public landscape space to fully display its social benefits. Therefore the thesis mainly deals with the issues on how to make urban public landscape space stay closer to people, how to make it an appeal to the public and how to increase the affinity of design.Based on an investigation of the current situation and problems of urban public landscape space, the thesis, firstly, analyses the factors affecting the affinity of urban public landscape space from those angles like human being's behavioral characterization and the relationship between landscape space and its service target. Secondly the thesis probes into the problems that how to make landscape space humane and close to the daily life, how to strengthen the affinity of landscape space with its focus on planning, designing elements and facilities. What's more, the thesis attempts to illustrate the inter-relationship among the affinity of landscape space, human being's behavior and psychological characteristics. At last, it proposes the relative design guidelines, which can stimulate human being's spontaneous activities and social activities, and which will make the urban public landscape spaces more humane and vigorous.
