To study the effect of high-sandiness flow to the sub-middle sized reservoirs, this paper give a primary discussing about the cause of siltation and the problem of preventing and reduce deposit on JieFangGou reservoir. High-sandiness flow bring great hurt to the sub-middle sized reservoirs, because of the action of the high-sandiness flow, the decreasing of content of promote the beneficial and flood control lead to the reduce of the reservoir's general benefit., the shortage of sluice has affect the development of industry and agriculture. In North of China, drought and shortage of water made the problem of filling up became serious increasingly, it is very important of how to resume the content and ensure the reservoir's nature life.In this paper, mathematical model to forecast the siltation of reservoir was set up based on years of in-situ data, and reservoir management may refer to it. Adding it's height and strengthen it three times within thirty years, Jie Fang Gou reservoir still can not satisfy the water-need in downstream part for the mainly reason of the influence of high-sandiness flow on the reservoir during flood period. The above example illuminates that the reservoir capacity problem can not be settled by dam heightening in the long run especially for sub-middle sized reservoir. Therefore, seeking an engineering measure to prevent or reduce the siltation in high-sandiness stream in the North becomes a goal of all water conservancy staff. This paper probes into the density flow and sand exhausted character of the high-sandiness current, investigates the deposit process, deposit form and the movement characteristic of density flow of the sub-middle sized reservoir in the North, and adopts the experimental formulations to account the sand exhausted quantum of density flow for the first time and then predicts the out reservoir sand quantum. Furthermore, based on some researches, this paper considers that back scour can be a better method to reduce the siltation in reservoir of sub-middle seized and the scouring effect differs in different water lever, especially that the void rate of bedload in the reservoir bottom decreased with the long-term depositing and the scouring capability enhances by year; souring effect induced by low water lever movement has a close contact to the scour resistance characteristic of the siltation.To the sub-middle sized reservoirs, sediment is the prominent problem, it directly affect the reservoir's security and benefit. So, through the method of analyzing the characteristicsof scouring and erosion-prevent, establishing the counting mode of silting compact and erode equation and efficient pre-estimate mode, adopting suited engineering method in time to resume the content, and so on, we could offer data of siltation for engineering management, which has important guidable meaning to the sub-middle sized reservoirs, and it will acquire nice benefit of economic and society.
