In this paper, taking suspension system as the research object, use Multi-Body System Dynamics theories and software. From the view of optimization suspension system type in develop a new car, carrying kinematics dynamics simulation and dynamics simulation on the suspension system, study the efforts of suspension system on the vehicle ride comfort performances and handling performances.This article proposed the establishment automobile suspension rapid development system platform conception, and performs the suspension system optimization in the new vehicle type development as the example to elaborate. First, briefly introduced the automobile suspension system basic composition, the design request. Outlined Multi-Body System Dynamics theory, and introduced the kinematics, the statics, and dynamics analysis rationale using the ADAMS software.Based on ADAMS/Car module established the macpherson type and the wishbone type front suspension subsystems separately, the multi-link type and trailing type rear suspensions racks system, as well as established the steering system, the tire, the anti-roll system which the entire vehicle model needed, according to simulation request assembly different plan entire vehicle simulation model.Based on the entire vehicle handling performances, analyzes the relationship between suspension system and handling performances. Carrying on the kinematics, dynamics simulation computation to the around independent suspension model. In the post-processing module, we obtain the variety curve of wheel camber angle, toe-in angle, kingpin inclination angle ,caster angel, Dive braking and lift braking ,while the wheel center move. We also investigated the variety of suspension stiffness, Suspension roll rate and roll center height when vehicle was in roll.Based on the vehicle ride comfort performances, analyzes the relationship between suspension system and vehicle ride comfort performances. Carrying on dynamics simulation to the different entire vehicle model under the different operating mode, analyzes each axial acceleration change curve in the post-processing module, the use curve processing function, the computation always weighting acceleration mean square value, analysis the influence of suspension system to ride comfort performances, and obtains the suspension system optimization plan.In the paper through dynamics simulation, obtain the optimization plan of suspension system type in develop a new car. Reduce the automobile research and development cycle effectively, reduce the development cost, explore a new way to enhanced the product design and the manufacture quality.
