This article conducts the structure and the design of granite aerostatic main axle to analysis and research, and to discuss the making method of granite.Aerostatic bearing has highly rotating precision and widely applies to the highly precision processing equipment. This article conducts the research to aerostatic main axle module in the ultra precision machine tool module, to analysis the design theory and the structure characteristic of the aerostatic bearing, using hydromechanics theory and general design theory of aerostatic bearing, carrying on the design calculation to the parameter of bearing, such as size and precision, bearing's rigidity, moment of force of rubs, the match of spray nozzle and gap. Selecting method of spray nozzle reducing expenses, using a pair of neck bearing and a pair of thrust bearing to compose with aerostatic main axle. Selecting of material is analysised. Selecting granite becomes the precise coincidence of the aerostatic main axle. The air course system to provide source of the aerostatic main axle is designed, selection of the air course device is analysised. The new surveying method of the spray nozzle is proposed. Through the research of this item, the machining methods of granites materials are founded. A kind of newly structure, performance stable with highly accuracy air static pressure main axle is developed.
