Slab clamp is one of the most important component in slab crane, it takes the high temperature or the normal temperature slab, its design relates directly to the work security. The stressed part on wedge of slab clamp is complex extremely. It is very difficult to obtain the analytic solution using the traditional way analysis. The designs on key part of wedge at present are almost the model of former clamp, and cannot produce a pertinency design. The present paper is in view of this question precisely, the testing machine was designed and did the massive correlated experiments to conduct the exploring research for this question.In order to study the friction mechanics performance of slab clamp under different temperature condition, the testing machine was designed that can simulate the genuine clamp completely, the hydraulic analogy was used in clamp strength and the slab deadweight. One part of work on the present paper was designed a set of monolithic integrated circuits tests system, coordinated the testing machine to complete each function. Examine the clamp strength by using the load cell and the thrust force which used in simulate the deadweight. Examine the test sample movement by using the high accuracy position sensor, try to obtain the friction coefficient according to this law of the motion, and use the flowing tubing head pressure sensor to monitor the system pressure real time. SCM(78E516B) was used in the system to take as the system CPU, and expanded the 128KB RAM and 12 A/D converter at the same time according to the test demand. The 192x64 graph LCD module was used on the man-computer Interface to be the output window of the system. The realize data was sent to PC by the RS232 series. The exterior I/O connection and keyboard were expanded by using 82C55,and entire isolation processing was used in the input-output channel. In order to guarantee the high reliability of the system, this article carried on the antijamming design from various aspects of the hardware and the software. The software was designed based on Embedded Operating System RTX51,and multitask modules were compiled with the C language.This test system can complete the friction coefficient test in the normal temperature and the high temperature, and carries on the reliable judgment to slab clamp under the certain wede angle and certainly initial clamp strength. Initial clamp strength can be adjusted steplessly, the proportion increase method was selected in the thrust force. The measured pressure, the thrust force, the displacement and the flowing tubing head pressure can be displayed at real time during the test process. The data of 28 curves in 7 time tests can be saved continuously, and these data can be displayed on the test system in the curve mode.The friction coefficient of some material in the high temperature and the normal temperature was tested using this testing machine, and the reliability test of the wedge in 7°40 'was carried on. After acquiring the data, several hundred groups of data we gathered were processed and analysised. some qualitative conclusions has been drawn by read these data and carried on the analysis according to some principles of rubbed monograph.
