With rapid development of express way and city traffic and the type for city bridges, interchanges and viaducts such as continuous curved girder bridges are widely used. To get beautiful linetype, the top structure of bridge is required to apply cast-in-place technology. Therefore scaffold construction technology for beams are greatly applied. At the same time, the problem of the applied technology and safety is appeared increasingly.Taken the construction of bridge on Huandao Road in Xiamen city as an example, the design of scaffold -. checking and the setting of camber are to be discussed. Firstly, the categories of scaffolds and applying condition of all kinds of scaffolds are simply introduced. Then structure design for beam -column scaffold over sea, beam-column scaffold on land, beam scaffold over sea, ramp bridge scaffold and column scaffold on land are presented. And corresponding formulas and the finite element analysis software of Midas/Civil are used to check strength, stiffness and stability on these scaffolds in detail. Then calculating methods on construction camber of cast-in-place beam scaffold and setting methods are introduced. At last, conclusions are made on design, check and settings of camber about cast-in-place beam scaffolds.
