Fastener-style scaffold system is widely used in the bridge construction due to its convenient, fast and adaptable characteristics. However, because of complex forced conditions and without effective calculation theory in the application of the scaffold system, if the control of falsework system is improper, it may result in the accidents of falsework collapse and even cause death or serious injury for workers, and bring a large amount of economic loss. Taking the construction scaffold of the continuous beams on the Gaoxin road and the Leifeng west road acrossing the Longwang river as the engineering background, the finite element model for the fastener-style scaffold is established. The strength, stiffness and stability of the scaffold system are analyzed and the load-bearing capacity of the corresponding pavement and foundation is calculated and checked.The main contents are as follows:1. The application, calculation theory and the developing process of the scaffold, the concept and development of finite element method are briefly introduced.The performance and characteristics of the fastener style scaffold are summarized.2. Based on general ANSYS software, the space finite element models for the fastener-style scaffold system are established, in which loads are applied and reasonable boundary conditions are considered on the two engineering examples respectively. Strength, stiffness and stability of the scaffold system are checked. The calculation results show that under various loading conditions, bamboo plywood, square timber, the fastener-style scaffold, I45b I-steel distributive girder, Bailey beam,2140b I-steel cross girder and steel tube columns all meet the strength, stiffness and stability requirements.3. Check and analysis on the compressive strength of the strip foundation, road pavement and foundation of the scaffold system are carried out. Results show that requirements of bearing capacity are met.4. Quality control of the scaffold system on overall rigidity, each span of preloading and tube fittings in construction process of the bridges are suggested, and these recommendations in the practical engineering are adopted and achieved good results.
