The Qinghai-Tibet railway engineering, which is situated on the Qinghai-Tibet plateau, is a line engineering and crosses the frozen soil with a long routine, many points, the complicated physiognomy cells and multitudinous taches that produced water and soil loss. However, the ecosystem along the railway is very frail and representing some degeneration trend and once it is destroyed, it will hard to resume. Aimed at the characteristics of the Qinghai-Tibet railway engineering, according to the research results and all previous locale perambulation of Qinghai-Tibet, making the reference to the adjacent Qinghai-Tibet road's experience about water and soil conservation, this thesis gives the research and analysis of the state of water and soil loss along the railway, finds out the causes, forecasts the water and soil loss after the railway construction and also brings out the synthetic preventable measures. Adopting "3S" technology and combining the ground investigation, the research results of water and soil loss along the railway indicates that all kinds of soil erosion, like freeing and melting erosion, pneumatic erosion and hydrodynamic erosion, are existing in a interlaced state, water and soil loss is complicated and various and it is scientific and reasonable to use the percent of the all kinds of sections of the railway to the whole railway.The research indicates that the unreasonable railway constructions can make the natural factors into a disadvantageous state and then can bring or increase water and soil loss. But the reasonable construction can make one or several natural factors in an advantageous state and thereby lighten or refrain water and soil loss. From the promeasurement of water and soil loss along the Qinghai-Tibet railway construction, the engineering activities are mainly concentrated in 2km range of the two sides of railway. After the construction, water and soil loss will be very serious if no measures are taken.Using the principle of water and soil conservation and according to the relationship of the external strength with the soil body resistibility, this thesis investigates the control project of the water and soil loss along the Qinghai-Tibet railway routine and brings the subarea conservation measures according to the engineering types and also establishes the rebuilding mode of the ecosystem such as "avoidance, safeguard, soil block, prevention and cure, residue block, drain, unkniting, plant". In the measureconfiguration we should pay attention to the defensive measures in the anterior construction; cure measures during the construction and managing and protecting measures during the operation. This thesis describes the compound the engineering measures; vegetable measures and soil protection and cure measures together and searches for the prompt measures to mater and soil loss preservation of the Qinghai-Tibet railway.
