Frozen soil environment is an important part of the ecosystem in the cold regions. Human activities and climate changes can make very large effects on frozen soil environment, especially constructing buildings in cold regions, which can bring negative effect. Also, the railway construction in frozen regions is complicated and difficult because of the special physical geohydrologic environment and frozen soil freeing and melting disaster problems on Qinghai-Tibet plateau.Aimed at the environmental characteristics of frozen region along the Qinghai-Tibet railway, this thesis gives the research and analysis of the state of frozen soil region along the Qinghai-Tibet railway based on some related research results, which also combines with the characteristics of the railway engineering construction. At the same time, the interaction relationship between frozen environment and railway construction is stated and the effects of construction activities on frozen soil environment is discussed. Finally, the protective measurements to reduce disadvantageous effects on frozen soil environment is brong it out.The frozen soil freezing, melting and eroding along the railway are mainly caused by the thermo-melting function. The potential thermo-melting and sinking areas are mainly distributed in the part of the high temperature and high ice content area of Chumaer basin, Beiluhe basin, Wuli basin, Tuotuohe basin and Tongtianhe basin. The potential areas of thermo-melting landslide and freezing and melting solifluction are mainly distributed in the high ice content area of Kunlun coteau, Kekexili coteau, Fenghuo coteau and Tanggula coteau. Soil excavating and depositing site, large scale temporary engineering are the main factors that affect frozen soil environment, and it takes effection mainly during the engineer construction.If we work along with the construction and design rules, the destruction of the frozen soil environment induced by engineering activities, such as thermo-melting and sinking, thermo-melting and sliding, freezing and melting solifluction and so on, can be controlled efficiently.
