GIS technology is already used in many aspects of the water conservancy. By the use of GIS technology, such as spatial analysis technology, Digital Elevation Model, and combined with the use of special application model of water conservancy, such as model of Rainoff generation, model of Rainoff concentration, model of Flood losses Estimation, we can accurately calculate the flood losses, predict the incoming flood losses, thus to establish the run of the drainage project scientifically, decrease the flood losses as great as possible.This dissertation have reviewed present situation of pumping station system simulation and concerned the requiring of actual work. Studying on these aspects below .1, The summary was given to GIS technology by using characteristic and developing trend in water conservancy. Make this dissertation's study purpose certainly based on present situation of system simulation.2, Established database subdividly in order to simulate drainage system of pumping station by the cause of the waterlog.3, Established Hydrologic and Hygrodynamics model in a catchments. The ways to predict flood peak discharges and discharge hydrographs from rainfall events have been studied.4, Hydraulic characteristic of pumping station were discussed, hydraulic models of pumping station structure were established.5, By discussing work characteristic of pumping station, pumping station coefficents' curve and curved face model are afford, method to compute pump work point was given, finally, the approach to simulate FanKou pumping station was discussed.6, This dissertation discussed the basic principle on optimal operation of pumping station. Established optimal operation models respectively by work quomodo of pumping station, particularly for FanKou pumping station.7, Software was exploited to simulate drainage system of FanKou pumping station, by this way, software named VB was used to plot parameter curve of pumping station, decrease the flood losses graphs concern to drainage also could be plot as soon as possibleby GIS technology.In the end, the author summarized the results and analyzes the deficiency of this dissertation. The author think GIS technology would play a more important role in water conservancy in the future ,so the author conducted the further researth target, for example, integration of Remote Sensing (RS) and GIS, by which we can know in time the flood losses, to provide information for how to reestablish the inundated areas, that is very significant to the local sustainable development.
