| In the water conservancy and hydropower projects, the reinforced concrete culvert is always an important constituent, mainly using in irrigating, electricity generation, the flood discharging, emptying, the sediment release and the river diversion during construction and so on. Generally its section is circular. During long running process, there are many factors such as design faults, bad materials, manufacturing deficiencies, environmental changes, material itself aging and damage making that large numbers of reinforced concrete culvert completed in 1960s-1970s in our country produced the carbonization, the cavitation, the corrosion or the surface voids, more seriously produce the perforative crack up to the leakage. All these phenomena seriously endanger the reservoir, the dam and the hydraulic structure itself. Therefore, we must take some measures to repair it.At the same time, because the culvert has always been buried in the earth, the process of reconstruction is quite troublesome, but the reinforcement is one effective method actually. As to the common reinforcement method, it needs long time, has complicated construction, moreover goes against the flood discharging during the flooding, and the place is so narrow that some large machinery is unable to be used at all. Whereas, it is a better choice that use the FRP to strengthen them. At present, this technology is becoming more and more important at home and abroad. However, few people apply it in the water conservancy and hydropower project, so a lot of questions need further study.This article establishes models about the reinforced concrete circular culvert and takes the effective research with the finite element. At first, about FRP material is introduced, some culvert structural styles and the load are demonstrated. And then several kinds of reinforcement methods of culvert are recommended, further compared with their merits and shortcomings. The nonlinear finite element is the effective method about reinforced concrete structure analysis, this article establishes models about GFRP and CFRP reinforcement culvert combing with Huangpo reservoir. At the same time, analysis the mechanism and the stress variation rule when the concrete, the steel bar and the FRP working together in the design flood and check flood if two kinds of reinforcement methods are adopted, moreover calculated and compared to ultimate bearing capacity.Because the FRP's Young's modulus is low, the traditional method doesn't make the best of the prominent character. So this article establishes the model of prestressed CFRP. The result shows that this method can effectively eliminate or delay the crack. At the same time, this article points out this method needing further research if it applies in the actual project widely. |
