From the analysis of local exciting system faults, it shows that there are various randomnoises in power system. Current filter networks (such as RC network) can repress narrowbands such as carrier wave and radio influence and so on, but it can't check randomdisturbance well. In this paper, the stochastic control theory has been introduced insynchronous generator auto exciting control system, and a controller which has Kalman filterhas been designed to against random noise. The stochastic controller talked about in this papercan not only get the real-time optimal estimation of the state variables, but also make amulti-variable control for the system. The simulating results indicate that the system randomnoise and measure error have been filtered effectively, the dynamic behavior has beenimproved and the control accuracy of the synchronous generator terminal voltage has beenenhanced.
