| Synchronous generator is the most important component of power system, and it is the unique active power resource and major reactive power resource. Excitation controller is the core part of synchronous, which dominates the performance of synchronous generator and has an important influence on power system's stability working. It is aproved that excitation control of synchronous generator is one of the lowest cost and effective measurement of improve power system's stability. So, it is practical significant that starting with the excitation control of synchronous generator study how to improve the stability of power system.A new type of excitation controller which is called interventional excitation controller is put forward in this paper. It has four characteristics, firstly variable structure forehand, secondly online program updating, thirdly reliable remote communication and facing whole network coordinated control. The controller realizes the dispatching center remotely change its parameters and control strategy for the coming conditions. Interventional excitation controller with a view to the whole network coordinated control will effectively restrain power's low frequency oscillation and good act in the second voltage control.This paper introduces the working principle, main features and usage of intervention excitation controller, and deeply analyzes the effect of restraining the foreseeable disturbance and effect of application in second voltage control. A total solution of interventional excitation controller including software and hardware is also available in this paper. In the last part of this paper, simulation of interventional excitation controller approves its validity. |
