In this dissertation, the roof of certain tube-truss gymnasium was studied, we can find that the arrangement of the structure is reasonless, and the unsubstantial shore can not stand the large counterforce at the end support. So the structure scheme was amended, the rubber support was applied to minish the counterforce of the support. The half-rigidity model and the full-rigidity model were compared. Besides, the situation by considering the stiffness of this structure and the support condition was analyzed on the statics and momentum. Some special joints of the structure were analyzed. After considering the conjunct effect of the rubber padding and the bolt, the horizontal stiffness of the support and the displacements that are allowed were solved.The basal components: X-joints and single-layer ellipsoid reticulated shell were analyzed. After reviewing the ring-model, the shear-model and clash-model were theoretically studied. Then the results were compared with the criterion and the FEM, we can find the appropriate scope of the three models. The full wrecking process of K6 ellipsoid reticulated shells were analyzed, it included the relationship among the limit load and the short span, rise-to-span, reseau dimension and so on.A new method named local analysis method was applied which the whole structure is divided into two parts: the upper structure and the lower structure. The generalized inverse theory and linear optimization method were also applied to solve the distribution of initial pre-stress of suspen-dome. These theories were used to analyze the gymnasium which is being built. First, several structure schemes were compared, so the final scheme can be confirmed. Then the relationship among the basal statics capacity, which conclude vertical displacements of joints, counterforce of the end supports and staff internal force, and the magnitude of initial pre-stress, different disposing cable schemes, different modes where pre-stress is applied wasconfirmed. The Geiger suspend-dome and Kiewitt one were compared, and the latter is better. This dissertation indicates that the temperature can affect the distortion the most among all the factors. Based on the characteristic of this project, three construction schemes were considered, and the process how the cable-strut system is hauled was also analyzed. Based on the initial disfigurement method, pre-stress can be applied and the construction lengths were enumerated..
