Dredged silt is treated by solidification technology, which will not only settle the problem of disposing silt but also solve the lack of engineering soil in some regions. The literatures have shown that organic matters in the silt have a significant influence on the silt solidification. According to surveying sediment of lake river and ocean ,a large amount of organic matters were found in the sediments. Through analyzing the organic matters in the sediments, people found that humic acid is the main component of the organic matters, which influences the solidification effect largely.Solidification treatment of silt based on a series of physiochemical reaction between binders and silt can greatly improve the engineering property of dredged silt. So the quantity and conformation of the reaction products and the action pattern between products and soil particle both influence the solidification effect.In this paper, the influence of humic acid on the quantity and conformation of products and the action pattern between products and soil particle are investigated to make clear the influence mechanism of humic acid. In addition, from the point of view of chemical component change in the pore liquid of solidification silt explains the influence mechanism.The main works of this paper are as follows:(1) The unconfined compressive test and consolidated undrained triaxial compression test were conducted to reveal the influence of humic acid on solidification effect;(2) From the point of view of free water transform, the influence orderliness of humic acid on the quantity and conformation were researched, which compared with the influence orderliness of solidification effect, the influence mechanism of humic acid on solidification effect was made clear;(3) The EDTA test and pH test were conducted to mensurate the calcium concentration and the pH value in the pore liquid of solidification silt. Analyzing the change orderliness of calcium concentration and pH value, the influence orderliness of humic acid on solidification effect were made clear;(4) The consolidated undrained triaxial compression test were conducted to get the change orderliness of the effective cohesion intercept and effective angle ofinternal friction with the humic acid content.
