Spatial analyst technology is a newly developing comprehensive subject, whichintegrates with the knowledge from interrelated field, such as topology, geometry,statistics and so on, and it is a practical study which is based on the large-scaleconstruction project. Based on the traditional space analysis technology, thedissertation develops the Spatial analyst theory through discussing the space types,space conflicts and space conflicts solution to adapt to the construction of thehydraulic and hydropower engineering. Founded on the theory above a correspondingsoftware has been developed and it is successfully applied in the spatial analysis ofthe preparative construction of dam silo. Some discussions and improvements areachieved as follows: Digital model of the construction space: Based on the analysis of theconstruction system using the object-orient method, the construction space is dividedinto the construction participators space, construction facilities space, working objectsspace, temporal facilities space, protection space, menace space. According todifferent usage of site space, the construction space is divided into the entity space,safety space, working space. The dissertation discusses the important attributes of thespace and the relations among different space. What's more, this paper deals withconstruction channels and material storage places. Space conflicts finder and space conflicts solution: Because of the space conflicts,there are a great deal of high-probability, high-harm and high-loss accidents in theconstruction of the hydraulic and hydropower engineering. A new space conflictclassification is made in a qualitative and quantitative way in this paper. Because ofthe complicity and impracticality of the traditional space conflicts solution, a newspace conflict solution mechanism based on the construction system analysis isproposed, which is more convenient to be developed into the software. So that thismechanism has much more maneuverability. Software development: The spatial conflicts in the construction not only slowerdown the project efficiency, but also make capital loss even bring in serious accidents.So a software is developed,which aim at reducing or eliminating the space conflict,and it can finally make the efficiency increased, expense cut down, and accidentsavoided. In this software, .NET studio is used as a platform, the digital models is builtfor the construction space, and the construction space analysis is made to find thespace conflicts. What' more, the solution is made to solve the different conflicts withthe construction schedule.Finally, an application of the spatial analysis theory and software is presented ina hydraulic and hydropower engineering construction. The preparative construction ofdam silo is important for the dam construction. Because its complete time is directlyrelated to the complication of the dam silo's concrete pouring, the preparativeconstruction of dam silo's is critical to dam's concrete pouring and in addition it oftencauses the space conflicts because of its complexity and the space resource rarity. Thesoftware mentioned above is applied successfully in the preparative construction ofdam silo in last chapter of dissertation. In conclusion, we can make a considerationthat the spatial analysis is an important method to avoid the space conflicts, tooptimize the site space in the construction, to speed the project progress, to avoidproject postponement, and also to reduce the unnecessary loss of the project.
