Soda residue is the waste residue from the soda producing, largely piling up ofthe soda residue becomes the 'Soda Residue Hill'. The 'Soda Residue Hill' ties up alot of land and hinders the development and construction of the region, thereby thesoda residue disposal is no time delay. Recent years, the soda residue has been reusedin engineering, which has achieved large economy and effect upon society. Theresearch of the old soda residue is relatively deep, but the new soda residue doesn'tbegin to be studied. The characters of new soda residue have been changed for newtechnology as soda being produced, having smaller grain and higher water content.Therefore, this thesis mainly analyzes how to decrease the water content of the sodaresidue storage yard No. 3 in Tianjin soda factory, and studies how to reuse the sodaresidue in geotechnical engineering.To kNow the soda residue better, the following research works on the base of theprecious research have been made.Firstly, through the analysis about the microstructure and strength mechanism ofthe soda residue, the crystallization of the grain of soda residue and the interactionmechanism between the grain of soda residue and the hole water are kNown clearly,and then the mechanism that how to form the strength is also disclosed. Comparingthe microstructure of soda residue with one of the mixture of the soda residue and thefly ash, it is clear to kNow the interaction mechanism with the grain of soda residueand one of the mixture. Secondly, the thesis expounds the physical and mechanicalcharacters of the soda residue after lots of in door experiments. Thirdly, it is difficultto transport the soda residue with high water content. To solve the problem, the thesisadopts adding sulphuric acid to the soda residue and light well-point dewatering.Through lots of experiments, it is proved that the later is feasible. Finally, there aretwo ways to attain the demand of the carrying capacity when the mixture of sodaresidue and fly ash is practiced in engineering. One is air-dried under the naturalcondition and then rolling over the soda residue, the other is vacuum preloading. Thetwo ways that consolidated the soda residue all can satisfy with the demand of thecarrying capacity. |
