The alkali residue is the waste that generated during the procedure of manufacturing pure alkali by ammonia alkali process. It has occupied large amount of land and has blocked the exploitation and construction of Tang Shan NanPu development zone. And alkali residue badly affects the environment for it's extremely easy to raise dust in drying state. At present, using alkali residue filling in low-lying area and shoal project is an effectual approach to deal with residue in large scale. For much better cognition alkali residue project character, promoting the alkali residue utilization, a great deal of laboratory experiments and site experiments had carried out based on the reality of Tang Shan alkali factory.This text has introduced the present research current situation of alkali dreg briefly at first, and then analyzed formulation and mineral making up. This text is according to the thinking from generally specially, on the basis of analyzing natural soil, have analyzed the interaction of the alkali dreg particle and water, colloidal property of alkali dreg particle, linking among the alkali dregs particles, the alkali dregs structure formation, the contrast has analyzed the alkali dregs and the natural soil similarities and differences, on macroscopic we further knows the alkali dregs and the alkali soil containing waste matter physics mechanical properties. By the laboratory experiment and site experiment, property of alkali residue soil in the field of the intensity and deformation having studied. Finally analysis will be made of fly ash mixing soda residue of soil applied to fill pad project.Simultaneously the environmental effect of the Soda Residue soil which possibly produces in the project application process, were analyzed. To use Soda residue soil for filling pad project in NanPu development zone and CaoFeidian marine mudflat area is completely feasible.
