The development of new generational engine is confronted with three aspects ofchallenge: fuel consume, waste gas discharge and power which are raised constantly.To satisfy the strict discharge regulation day by day, it becomes the main trend indevelopment of internal-combustion engine that the application of digital ignitiontechnology of engine Hi-Performance, multi-functional sensor and large scaleintegrated circuit technology have promoted the birth and application of thetechnology. the digital ignition technology can reduce fuel consumption and dischargecompetence of engine effectively,and improve the performance of engine by a largemargin and must become the leading technology that will promote the development ofinternal-combustion engine trade in the future The digital ignition way progresses well at the right moment , responds quicklyand controls ignition time more precise than other ignition ways. Our country hasgreater disparity with the developed country in the electronic control technology ofthe engine , especially the digital-control ignition technology in productionapplication . But at present, with more and more severe status of petroleum marketin the world, there is a further request for laws and regulations about dischargingpollution in every country, and with the more drastic competition in the field ofinternational automobile and motorcycle, we have urgent needs to improve thetraditional ignition technology. As a developing research, the digital ignitiontechnology has a very high practical value and economic value. We havesucceeded to develop one digital ignition system used by motorcycle withhardware technology and ,software developing system.This text mainly achieved the following research work The first, on the aspect of hardware: We has designed and developed a set of digital ignition system taking the PICmonolithic integrated circuit as CPU, mainly based on electrical machine ofmagnetism's speed signal . The second, software mainly is composed of the latter aspects:One is Setting up a set of mathematics model for dealling with three-dimensionpre-ignition angle datum.This mathematics model is suitable for the high speed andhigh accuracy analysis.the other,in view of the PIC chip hardware characteristic as well as enhancementof timely and the reliable request,and on the aspect of software antijamming, thepre-ignitition angle production algorithm,we have made the creative attempt. underthe MAPLAB-IDE integrated development environment, we have completed thesignal processing and analysis software with PIC assembly language. This signalprocessing and control software mainly is composed of signal module gatheringcontrol and ignition control,and so on . In the concrete software realization, hasrealized the best choice of pre-ignitition angle , and displayed fully the PICexcellent data-handling capacity with pretreatment of signal gathered ,as well astwo curved suface fitting algorithm.The third, Experimental study of the digital ignition system.In order to verify the feasibility of the digital ignition system , we have experiment onthe application equipment of electrical machine of magnetism of theTianbo&Keda company . The results prove that digital ignition system matcheffect anticipated.
