On one hand the energy problem becoming more and more seriously, but on theother hand the people take much more attention to the indoor air quality. Therefore theair condition system must create a comfortable and healthy inhabitant environmentwith consuming a little energy. The usage of the energy recovery exchanger canenable the air condition system to realize operating in great fresh air under thecondition of not increasing energy consume or even saving energy, consequentlyimprove the indoor air quality. Plate energy recovery exchanger is a kind of total heatexchanger, and has the higher energy recovery effectiveness and no moving device, soit is a better energy recovery exchanger rather than others. This paper mainly studies the heat and moisture transfer performance of plateenergy recovery exchanger, and analyzes its energy savings. From analyzing the heatand mass characteristic of material of the plate energy recovery exchanger, set up thetheory model of heat and moisture transfer. Calculate the heat and moisture transfereffectiveness and compare the theory calculating results with the experimentalconclusions. The study indicates that the heat and moisture transfer effectivenessdepends on the heat and moisture transfer performance of the material, the airthermodynamics parameters, and the structure of the plate energy recovery exchanger. The sensible heat effectiveness increases with the rising of the heat transfer unit, butwith the same heat transfer unit the sensible effectiveness will increase with thedecrease of the ratio of specific capacity for the fresh/exhaust air. The latent heateffectiveness will increase when the moisture transfer unit increases.By deducing the relation expression of three kinds of effectiveness, analyzes theinfluencing extent of sensible heat and latent heat effectiveness on total heateffectiveness. Through analyzing the energy savings of the air condition system usingthe plate energy recovery exchanger, indicates that whether or not saving energy ofusing the plate energy recovery exchanger depends on its heat and moisture transfereffectiveness and its pressure drop characteristic. The amounts of saving electronicenergy relation with different area weather conditions, different air-condition systemtypes, and different cooling systems.
