Research On Universal Design And Application In The Interior System Of The Subway Car In Shanghai

The subway is no doubt the first choice among all the vehicles in Shanghai.There are about sixty millions handicapped in China, and China is also one of the most increasingly aging countries in the world.These persons will have to face many difficulties and problems which ordinary persons would never experience when they go out by subway.How should we design the interior system of the subway in reason so we can provide more users with the equitable chance of use?By analyzing the basic principles of universal design,the author learns that the core of universal design is fair participation and equitable life;then the author generalizes the typical behavior characters of diverse users,summarizes the practical use of interior system of the subway by observing and analyzing and analyzes the traffic system,the information guidance system and the assistant appliance according the principles of universal design.Finally,the author makes some attempts based on universal design principles.
