Visually impaired people, as a special class of social groups, visual defects make them unable to feel the external world. In today's "people-oriented" design concept, the concept of humanized design makes the visual impairment in the daily life of the behavior and needs of attention. The study found that human physiology in the presence of a defect, tend to stimulate the potential of other parts of the body. People with visual impairment cannot use the eyes to see the outside world, they will use other ways to perceive the external environment, and the way of cognition is often normal people, we also have overlooked. Research and utilization of this cognitive way can not only help the visually impaired to better perception of external environment, can also tap the applicable to the perception of the public, so as to achieve real satisfaction in anyone's universal design. In the exploration of visual impairment perceive behavior at the same time, to barrier free design and universal design as a guide, first of all to do indoor environment's function on the accessibility, and gradually to the user's affective barrier free development, and ultimately achieve different populations in the same environment to live together.Through exploration and study of people with visual impairment aware behavior, proposed for people with visual impairment of barrier free design problems, combined with the psychological and physiological characteristics of visual impairment of auditory, tactile, olfactory perception, the perception in the barrier free design demand and application, and theoretical analysis of the construction of the system of the visually impaired persons living space design, through the design of space interface and facility layout, combination of sound, light, heat, color, and other indoor physical environment factors to meet the visual impairment for interior space environment. By comparing the perception behavior of visually impaired persons with normal visual perception behavior, to find the common points in the interior design, to realize the interior design concept of "practical" and "universal".
