Frame-shear wall structure has been widely used in the high rise all over the world due to its good ability to resist the seismic load, especially in our country.The frame-shear wall system is studied in this paper, which is a widely used structure type .Optimal design for the reasonable stiffness of shearing walls is done.The major contents are summarized as follows:1. According to boundary condition the differential equation of the coordination of frame-shear wall structure is given and solved at the upset triangle distribution of horizontal load and top-spot concentrative load. In the same time, the solution method of the frame shear stiffness and changing bend stiffness with the shear wall in the frame-shear wall structure are discussed in this paper.2. The optimal mathematics model of the shear wall lateral stiffness in the frame-wall structure is established, according to the displacement expression of upset triangle distribution of horizontal load and top-spot concentrative load, considering the allowable value of interbedded drift angle of code setting and the ratio of lateral stiffness to gravity, story shear to gravity as constrained condition. The numerical solution of mathematics model is presented by new code. The model is applicable for mass and stiffness distributed uniformity in the mid-highrise residential buildings.3. Based on an engineering example in Wuhan district, the paper has analyzed the application of optimal method of shear wall lateral stiffness in practical engineering. The reactive characteristic of structure displacement from wind load is discussed, in low-seismic fortification intensity district. Under the effect of wind load, the optimal stiffness characteristic value of shear wall structure is determined. Furthermore, the optimal bending stiffness and interbedded drift stiffness are solved in the paper. The relationship between displacement reactivity and stiffness characteristic value is analyzed from calculation result. The paper has drawn the curve of interbedded drift angle and of situation in which take place the max-interbedded drift accompanying change of stiffness characteristic value.4. According to the distribution rule of interbedded drift angle in buildings and variational rule accompanying change of stiffness characteristic value, the paper puts forward the advice about how to differentiate normal structure story in structure design drawings and the influence factor which should be considered. The author also advances his opinion and suggestion about how to judge the rationality of stiffness arrangement of frame-column and shear wall in frame-shear structure. The paper supplies the determination method of shear wall optimal lateral stiffness to structure designer .It is feasible and effective to optimal structure design.
