This paper analyses the factors affecting the safety of the power system at first,analyses the need and hardness in application of all-compensation arc-suppressing.Following that on the basic of details on combination of presetting mode andfollowing-setting mode and the construction of principal-auxiliary, this paper focus oncarrying out a principal-auxiliary controllable reactor arc-suppressing coil using the DSPcontroller, the automatic tap-adjusting arc-suppression coil and the thyristors controlledreactor (TRC). Both primary and secondary sides devices are discussed minutely, and thepaper especially introduces the principle of TRC and analyses such as the relationshipbetween conduction angle and the equal reactor and the harmonic content, etc. At last thepaper makes an introduction on the software of the controller. The instruction of the newarc-suppressing coil differs a lot from the traditional ones, so the capacitive currentcalculation,tap adjusting,fault line detecting and the resonance proposing are innovatedtotally.
