This study centralizes reduce of the loss in power system and increases theautomatic level of the substation. And discuss the problem of voltage and reactivecontrol in substation,firstly the article briefly review the history of voltage andreactive power control technology,and lay stress on the defects of the presentdevice. This paper thoroughly have studied the reactive power optimizationalgorithm,according to the case of algorithm research,the hybrid intelligentalgorithm is advised which gets the mutative scale chaos algorithm and the immunegenetic algorithm together,then through the analysis in theory,based on thecharacteristic of power system and the comprehensive principle of voltage andreactive power control ,it discusses the feature of voltage and reactive powercontrol,then it provides the control regulations,it considers the integrate influenceof transformer tips and capacity groups. According to the different zones it suppliesdifferent control adjustments,and then discusses the function of the control deviceand study the question of integrate the function in the remote terminal units.The network of Bayannaoer region is used as a test system to be carried outcalculations of reactive power optimization. Coordinative control strategies undernormal or emergency states are investigated. At last,an optimal design strategy forthe voltage/reactive power control of the regional network is proposed.
