It is very important to monitor vibration and diagnose fault for the operating safetyof turbine-generator. It is necessary to monitor vibration and diagnose fault based onInternet. The remote vibration monitoring and fault diagnosis technology is analyzed.The difference between Browser/Server (B/S) mode and Client/Server (C/S) mode isdiscussed. There are many advantages of Java technology in B/S mode. Combining BPneutral network with object-oriented paradigm (OOP), the intelligent vibration faultdiagnosis neutral network system is built. Automatic obtaining method of vibrationspectrum symptom of turbine-generator is presented. Using Java, a remote system ofvibration monitoring and fault diagnosis for turbine-generator based on B/S mode isdeveloped. The system configuration, function modules and Web design method aredescribed. The questions of Web-site development, communication between server andclient, the non-flash refreshment in monitoring interface, building the intelligentvibration fault diagnosis neutral network system, and remote intelligent diagnosis basedon spectrum symptom are solved. It is proved that the system is very available and usefulin several power plants.
