With regarding the offshore platform as a space-frame structure, this paper established the section optimum model, shape optimum model, the section optimum model based on component reliability and shape optimum based on component reliability optimum model for practical offshore platform. The paper builds the models on the basis of the ZC specification and gives the effective method to deal with restrain equation of the models. The value of environmental load is computer according to the corresponding formula in specification API RP 2A and reference the enterprise classification (Q/HS3003-2002) of China National Offshore Oil Corp. and the paper uses the loads to analysis the structure in finite element method based on consideration of the action between structural dowel and soil. In order to accomplish the analyzing and optimization the paper works out respective ANSYS code in APDL language. By optimizing the structure of the offshore platform named Chengbei 11~# and analyzing the result of optimum, the paper conclude that the shape optimum based on component reliability is advantage and rational.
