Investigation On Design Of Outdoor Space For The Old Citizen In Residential Area

The paper is one of research paper that focuses on the current outdoor space design of the residential area in China where the old citizens live in.Under the social background of rapid increasing aging in China, the main elements that affect the outdoor space design are analyzed in this paper, meanwhile, the development course and current status is reviewed from both oversea and domestic sides as well. On the other hand, the paper points out that the design must be based on the actual condition, insisting the design thinking of "Human-Oriented, Old Citizen's Need-Based", and then to find out and solve the problem existed. Whereafter, the outdoor space design is dissertated in various views, such as whole layout, detail design, and development trend, at last, the author puts forward his own viewpoints that could be referenced.
