Research On Product Configuration Method Based On GBOM And CBR

With the development of science technology and the maturity of globalization big market, the market is becoming more changeful and dynamic and the competition is becoming more intense, the customer longs for low cost, high quality product and service which can satisfy the custom-made of personalized demand. Mass customization has offered a channel which satisfies these demands for enterprise. For fast, efficient and low cost offering the product for the customer which them customized, used the design for mass customization technology in MC. under the support of product family model which has established, using product configuration technology, and the product family data management as platform, it carried out individuation product fast customize design according to the client order form. This has put the mature product resource of the enterprise in an important position farthest, and reduces the species and quantities。 At the same time, it shortens the time and reduces the cost for the product designing.The engine is the research object in this paper, and it has researched on the following aspects for the product configuration theory and technology.(1) This paper researched on the interrelated concepts of mass customization, product configuration, product family data management, and analyzed the present situation of domestic and international of product configuration design.(2) This paper researched on the basic theory of the product family and the product family model, analyzed the defects of traditional bill of material (BOM) structure, discussed the advantages and the characteristic of generic bill of material (GBOM), and gave the method of building the product family model based on GBOM.(3)It applied the case based research (CBR) to the product configuration for the engine on a basis of the product family model based on GBOM in this paper, and realized the fast respond for the client demanding aiming at the characteristic of the engine product.(4)Using the product data management software SmarTeam as the platform, this paper developed the fast configuration system of the engine product.
