The technology of strip transmission for transverse flux induction heating equipment is based on the metallurgical industry, electrical engineering and automation industry and manufacturing industry. It is the synergetic application of these industry technologies. The driving motion control technology is the basic and important technology of the system.By analyzing the principle of tension control of conversion rolling-up, the paper designs an equipment of tension control conversion rolling-up. The rolling-up and rolling-back motors are controlled by a tension control converter respectively. In order to fit the strip of different thickness and heating times, the transmission equipment can work in rolling-up or rolling-back model, which can be changed by the exchange of control terminal X2 & X3.The open loop tension control is chosen, saving the tension feedback equipment, making the mechanical system simple & the PID parameter independent & tension control stable. The simple and common mode of obtaining line speed is chosen to calculate the diameter of the roll in the rolling-up process, the running frequency of analogue output signal of the driving converter controlling the speed of the system is used as the line speed signal namely.The mode of conversion rolling-up of AC motor makes the system simple, the cost reduced, the maintenance easy and the control performance stable, compared with the mode of DC motor or torque motor rolling-up.
