In recent years,the structural system with special-shaped columns and short leg shear wall have been widely used in real estate market,especially suitable for the middle or small high-rise or high rise residential buildings because of its flexibility of arrangement and lower cost.In this Master Dissertation, the method of structural design about these two systems are introduced,and the research achievements of our country are also summed up.The main contents are as follows:(1) According to the local criterion and the national code,the judgement of the special—shaped columns and short leg shear wall are determined.(2) For these two systems, the mechanical properties, application range ,the limit values of axial-pressure ratio, the calculation of internal force and displacement under the earthquake are analyzed. Some seismic detail measures are put forward.(3)A lot of space have been given to the TAT,SATWE,the famous software which can calculate the three-dimensional building structure.The difference between them,such as scope of the application, calculating model, calculating result are analyzed.(4) At the last of the Dissertation,several examples are offered,One of them is a special-shaped column frame-shear wall high rise building,which is 15 floor, the SATWE has been used to calculate the structures and obtain the most unfavorable angle of earthquake action that greatly influences the bearing capacity and ductility. The traditional method to input 0° ,90° of loading angle that can not guarantee the safety of it.The conclusions can be referenced for structural design. Finally,some suggestions for engineering design are also presented in this paper.
