Cultural connotation is a deep problem in Modern Landscape Design .It is where the soul of good landscaping lies. In face of the present impation of Mrket Economy ,many landscape designes only pursue benefits and pay less attention to the cultural connotation of the design projects,which are partly because the designes have enough cultural accomplishments.Consequently,many design works which concentrate mainly on form,do not emphasize its own implication,or just copy some dingals with cultural implication,cannot become classical works to be handed down in generations.This thesis starts from the comprehesion of cultural connotation ,and explorate the constructon and developmental direction of mordern landscape cultural connotation from many aspects and angles under the prerequisite of absorbiny the fruits of academic researches.
