University campus landscape construction has a long history in china.From the past private school until now,the development of China's higher education has a qualitative leap and campus landscape has been constantly updated in history.Nowadays,the landscape design in colleges and universities have got the attention of the relevant industry as an independent field of design,And the culture level of the campus landscape reflect a campus culture temperament and landscape design level from some Angle and level in the construction of colleges and universities.It should fully embody rich cultural connotation and its theme.By using landscape elements we can create a distinctive theme and cultural space artistic conception in order to helping the teachers and students understand the theme of the school culture connotation,and let people spontaneously response to natural environment problems.The emergence of the whole college landscape theme culture subject planning and landscape design can reflect research spirit and educational philosophy.And we should inherit and develop university landscape connotation and put its cultural history into school so as to constructing universities into educational function.This paper firstly summarized the landscape of university campus culture,mainly discusses concepts like the university,the university culture,campus landscape cultural connotation,landscape space,and research guiding principles based on field investigation by analysis of six universities in xi 'an.This paper summarizes he necessity of campus landscape and evaluating the problems existing in the landscape design evaluation of the cultural connotation Then,based on the functions of the campus landscape,it classified as two main line,respectively from the value orientation of intelligence development;spirit leading culture shape;beautify the environment;psychological adjustment exercise.Among those aspects,Plant culture,sculpture culture,architecture culture,water culture,landscape stone culture are discussed.And based on the investigation of preschool teachers college in Shaanxi province,and on fully research and culture carding,it discusses the landscape culture in colleges and universities,and play a positive role.in the campus landscape under the special environment of cultural construction.
