The successful operation of high-speed Maglev Train in Shanghai indicates inevitability of universal application. The super high-speed Maglev Train has heavy demands of operation control system (OCS) and propulsion control system (PCS). The structure and the control method of PCS and the network communication are the problems that need to be researched on. Studying on the PCS is still on the way in our country. Once a breakthrough appears in this key technology, it will provide assurance for credible operation and impulse the application of high-speed Maglev Train in China. The thesis begins with an overview OCS and vehicles-location & speed-measurement system of TR08 Maglev train. Then, the structure of PCS the propulsion and power supply principle are introduced. Hereinbefore, the vector control method and SVPWM technology are chosen for the propulsion and power supply control. In the second place, the model of propulsion system, according to real information of TR08, is built in MATLAB/SIMULINK and validated by simulation results. Based on this simulated test platform, the propulsion performance is analyzed under different instances, such as time delays, random resistance, variable motor parameter and excitation current. Subsequently, the optimized design methods of the line and the ideal speed curve are given according to minimum energy.Furthermore, the network control method through internet between OCS and PCS is discussed and the real-time performance has been validated by experiment test and network calculation. Finally, a brief summarize of this thesis is given, and several important problems of the Maglev train are discussed.
