This dissertation takes the application of high-speed magnetic levitation(maglev) train, which is a new type of rail transit vehicle, as the research background .The communication networks of the maglev train is studied systematically with the principle and architecture comprehended, especially, questions about design and realization of the hardware and software system ,as well as the real-time performance of the CAN and industrial-Ethernet ,are analyzed and discussed detailedly .Such work lay a foundation for using CAN and industrial-Ethernet to establish the maglev train control system jointly.The train bus of communication networks is realized by using Ethernet ,whose prominent advantage is the high bandwidth. The vehicle bus is realized with CAN bus ,which possesses strong real-time performance. The former two buses are linked with a embedded transparent gateway, which is designed in dual-processor framework (DSP+MCU), and the standard CAN bus protocol and compact TCP/IP protocol are achieved in the gateway module .Finally, the monitor and control function for the whole maglev train is achieved by the application programmed in VC and Winsock in the master computer.Afterward, the real-time performance of the CAN is analyzed and measured precisely, and the feasibility of using it as device bus independently is proven. The key techniques of the industrial-Ethernet, as well as the ways and means to improve real-time performance of it ,are researched.
