Underground surge-chamber is a hydrostation structure of complicated boundary condition and stress. And the stress of it with Rectangular section is more complicated than with cylindrical section. In the design,the liner and the surrounding rocks are simplified considered as a integrity and deform coordinated. However, the reality is different from the ideality when they work because of the material of them are indifferent, the contact of the liner and the surrounding rocks, the integral safety and the work behavior of the liner are mainly studied in the design. In this paper, based on Goupitan Hydropower Station, the liner structure and the surrounding rocks are nonlinear finite element studied with the consideration of them harmoniously work. Main work is as following.1.Stress analysis of the liner struture of underground surge-chamber with high side wall.2.Study on the impact of the cross bearing beam on the surge-chamber liner stress capability.3. Study on the influence factors of the liner displacement by orthogonal test and range analysis. The three-factor sequence is the thickness of the liner h, tensile-strength of the coupling spring σ_t,the cohesive strength of the coupling spring c and the friction angle of the coupling spring φ.
