The west route of South-to-North Water Transfer Project is a country key project and still is at the itemized written proposal stage at present. Tunnel occupied the water distribution line total length 94%, is the west route water distribution line crucial project. The accurate simulation about the distortion and the stress characteristic of tunnel surrounding rock with The lining work, and understanding excavated tunnel stability of the surrounding rock and reliability of the lining works, have the important practical significance to the entire west route project. This article systematically introduced the analysis development present situation and the analysis theory about the tunnel stability of the surrounding rock and the lining work structural design. Based on the ANSYS software research it had established the west route tunnel ball plastic simulation model. It also had conducted the actual project analysis research, and proposed the new lining work design model. Concrete content as follows:1. The article had carried on the research discussion to the non-linearity question principle in the underground tunnel project. And studied part essential technology in the tunnel project analysis with finite element software ANSYS.2. In the west route tunnel project the article had established the typical hole section tunnel two-dimensional and three-dimensional ball plastic value simulation model. Through to the initial stress field simulation, the stress release rate consideration and the research of supports opportunity, the article has conducted the certain simulation analysis research to the west route tunnel project.The computed result had conformed to the general rule.3. Useing the different geological condition and the lining work parameter, The research had separately carried on the parameter sensitivity analysis with the ANSYS software to the surrounding rock and the lining work structure. It had studied the dissect parameter change to the adjacent formation stress, the distortion and the plastic area scope influence, as well as to the lining work distortion and the endogenic force influence. And it thoroughly studied the influence adjacent formation from the different aspect to stabilize and to the stable factor of the lining work. The research technique and the research results had the practical value for the west line and provided the reference to other tunnel projects design analyses.4. The article referenced the computation design model and the method of the lining work structure and unified ANSYS software own characteristic to carry onsecondary developments. It unioned the beam-spring theory and the revision used to the usage, and proposed an new analysis model. It carried on the computation confirmation to the new model and the research results had been reasonable, and had the certain reference value to the engineering design.
