Slope failures are caused by many factors, among which rainfall is the most significant one. This paper follows the analytical way of studying the unsaturated slope: "rainfall →variety of the moisture content →variety of the suction →variety of the shear strength →stability of slope" to study the unsaturated slope, mainly focus on the part "rainfall →variety of the moisture content →variety of the suction" . In order to support the stability analysis, this paper focus on infiltration in unsaturated soils slope:1, G- Block suction probes are installed at the first, the third and the fifth step on the slope for suction monitoring. The results show that: The suction of the soil vary with the variation of the weather. The influence depth is about 4m to 6m.2, The SWCCs are measured by unsaturated odemeter. The coefficient of permeability of the unsaturated soil is predicted by the SWCC.3, Numerical analysis are conducted to the unsaturated soil. Comparing the results with the monitoring data, the numerical model and boundary conditions are evaluated.4 , The factors which effect on the infiltration are analysis, including parameters in VG model, soil distribution, angle of slope, rainfall duration and the predicting model for the coefficient of permeability of unsaturated soil.
