With the emergence of modern transport instrument such as the cars, urban roads and street scale are unable to suit the needs of urban transport development, which will need to adjust to a new yardstick rapid urban transport needs. In the past specific planning process, the traffic demand of motor vehicle is often considered on the first, the design of street space for pedestrians has been neglected for a long times. Crude cut, inhuman scale, the details of that poor modern urban streetscape are not adequate any more. Rapid road system constitutes a major aspect of the urban environment. The traditional street lives are disappearing in the city.What we need is smooth urban traffic, more rich and varied street life. As the result of rethinking, the cordial yardstick, good proportion and rich details in the landscape design are concerned by people again. People began to look to the convenient and impact of urban life brought by the development of transport. At the same time of in possession of motor vehicle, it also can create a pleasant urban environment.This article is a methodology research based on the status of the urban road landscape design, Xian as an historical and cultural city, in the future development of cities, urban scales, urban road transport and urban landscape, have its own specificity. The article is mainly illustrating the urban road traffic on the overall construction and urban environment construction from the perspective of the landscape environment. I would present some ideas on the problem of Xian road lacking of inadequate transport facilities and urban road landscape, Anticipate to make some contribution to improvements on the actual work of Xian city landscape.
