Wind environment becomes the focus of people' attention. Study on wind environment of the city or residential area must be done immediately. In contrast, the only method in past is wind tunnel test that cost much of time and money but with few of accomplishment. So there is this thesis attempt to research wind environment with numerical simulation. However, everything must be done from the beginning. This thesis analyzes the wind environment around a three-dimensional building with complex configuration by numerical simulation and wind tunnel test. Unsteady inflow condition is also studied in this thesis. The relation between surface pressure and wind environment of building is complex. We consider two most important factor that influent it, the average velocity and direction of inflow. There are two kind of inflow condition: constant and sinusoidal. During the research we change the parameter of inflow and get different kind of it. Consider the symmetry of the building, we chose 0°, 30°, 45°, 60°and 90° as the direction of inflow.Surface pressure on building is provided in form of C_p (wind pressure coefficient). Data of flow and pressure field is provided simultaneously. Wind flow field represent in wind tunnel as same as it in nature. Boundary condition of numerical simulation is provided by test. Wind pressure is got by wind tunnel test. According to the result of numerical simulation and wind tunnel experiment, the C_p of the building surface is changeless during the constant inflow and fluctuant during the sinusoidal inflow. The fluctuant is different with the influence of period and swing of the sine wave. The result of numerical simulation is consistent with the wind tunnel experiment. Numerical simulation is one of the most powerful methods of researching the flow around building.
