Calculation methods of crack widths and deflections of steel reinforced concrete beams were discussed in this paper. Calculation of crack widths and deflections belong to calculation of service ability limit state, and the methods determine the capability of service ability limit state. But the calculation methods are complicated at present. The main contents are as follows:Experimental study The blod-slip and fundamental behavior under load of sixteen steel reinforced concrete beams was texted. The crack distribution was checked. The crack widths and deflections were measured. Large numbers of data for calculation methods based on mathematical statistics were given.Grey connection analysis The factors which affect the crack widths and deflections of steel reinforced concrete beams were analyzed by grey connection.Crack widths The main factors which affect the crack widths of steel reinforced concrete beams were analyzed, and a new calculation method was proposed by mathematical statistics.Deflection The main factors which affect the deflection of steel reinforced concrete beams were analyzed, and a new calculation method was proposed by mathematical statistics.
