With the increase of speed and construction of the dedicated passenger line, the design of turnout is demanded to change from static design to dynamic design. Switch force and inadequate displacement of elastic bending switch rail is one of the key parameters in the design of turnout. The model of switch calculated is built aiming to number 42 double arm elastic bending point rail, system analysis is made for switching force and inadequate displacement.In this model, the special structure is considered;nose rail is described by two-dimension elastic beam element. At the same time, clamping force, close contacting force, locking force at rear of turnout and other factors in the switching process are considered, as well as it's linearity and nonlinearities. So the model can reflect structure characteristic and work state of point rail exactly.Based on the model, Sort of the rail, friction coefficient of switch plate, fastener rigidity and length, distribution of traction point, the degree of point rail planed at the elastic bending center influencing to switching force and inadequate displacement of the point rail are Analyzed.In the basis of the analysis, The paper pointed out that switch plate friction is the root of displacement, So it stress on reducing friction coefficient or changing sliding friction to rolling friction to reduce friction force or change its distribution,. Novelty sets to reduce switching force and inadequate displacement are analyzed.Finally, efficient measures to reduce switching force and inadequate displacement is summarized, Witch is to chose rational sort of rail , improve geometry, apply sets to reduce friction, optimize distribution of traction point, design rational displacement of traction point, decrease moveable length of point rail and use suitable degree of point rail planed at the elastic bending center et.
