Magnetic field is used widely nowadays. And different magnetic field is required in much condition so that different magnetic field generators should be designed. The inner grads magnetic field generator is designed for some institute which can generate the magnetic field that is requested in the working point. The inner grads magnetic field generator (MFG) can generate some magnetic field that has been specified on the wave and the parameters in advance. The parameters, such as stability, are required.Based on the requests of the MFG, it is expounded how to select the stuff of the MFG. The structures and dimensions of the parts are designed, and the space between the winding and the cooling set are distributed reasonably. Confirm the parameters of the winding and the machining means of the winding mode and cool the winding with water. The proper finite calculation measure is selected to calculate the total structure with ANSYSY software, and the pivotal dimension of the parts is optimized to find the best project. Analyze the effect of the shape of the magnetic pole, size of the gap and so on.The control system is composed of singlechip, sensor, A/D module, D/A module etc. to guarantee that the magnetic field is steady. Based on the requests of the design, the hardware and the power of the winding are selected to form the closed loop system. The 89C51 singlechip is the core in the system. The feed back signal is measured by the Hall sensor in the magnetic field and the 89C51 program is designed with C51, then the signal controls the power through D/A. Thus, excitation current is adjusted. Realize the stabilization of the MFG and the error within the design request. On the other hand, realize the display, input of key, watching and controlling with computer by the program. In the end, demarcate the generator and test the distributing and the size of the magnetic field. Analyze the result of the test. The MFG has realized all requests and is used in practice now.
