Optimization of urban bus networks is the main part of transport planning in a city. It is the one of effective solutions to improve the difficult transportation in the case of limited investment. This paper systemically studies the method and model of trip distribution forecast firstly, by improving the Gravity-model, increases the precision of the trip distribution forecast. then, on the base of analyzing the optimal aims and restrict conditions of bus networks, this paper studies optimal model of bus networks and investigates the adjustment principle and method for existing bus networks reasonably.Restricted within Traditional Four-step Process frame, this paper mainly studies the method and model of trip distribution forecast. By comparing the limitation of these methods and aiming at overcoming the disadvantage of trip distribution forecast which is used widely, this paper introduces the method to solve relative parameters.This paper studies optimal model of bus networks on the base of analyzing optimal aims and effective factors bus network optimization. It considers service level of passengers and benefit of bus corporations. In addition this paper analyzes the pareto of the model in mathematic theorem and gives the correlative deductions to estimate if the model has the paretos.Finally, this paper introduces the method to how to create early lines in detail and is excellent to apply to genetic algorithm to optimization of bus networks. Considering the existing bus networks this paper investigates the adjustment principle and method, then, applies these methods on Dujiangyan.
