| As one of the two basic microscopic traffic models, the car-following modelhas been researched for half of century. Many scholars established correlativecar-following model from many points of view aiming at car-followingphenomenon. Although definite anticipative effect is reached, applicability ofmodel is still deficient. According to the modern microscopic traffic simulation, itis believed that car following is the driving characteristic of a driver and acolligating action process according to the stimulations from the vehicleinformation, roadway information and traffic surroundings information and so on.People adjust themselves to achieve the driving target including the informationestimation and the operations. To describe such a complex driving behavior,research from cognition psychology is needed.This dissertation has deeply researched the car-following model based onthe modeling theory and method of the driving synergetic behavior simulation ofNational Physical Science funds item. Here follows the main content of thisdissertation:Chapter one is exordium. Firstly, it discusses the researching background andmeaning of this dissertation, and then simply introduces current research status indomestic and foreign countries. Finally, the content and technique route of thisarticle is concluded.In chapter two, review of research on car-following model. Based on thevarious research literatures, this dissertation expounds in detail theory basic ofcar-following model, car-following characteristic, and car-following modelfunction to microcosmic traffic flow simulation, systematically introduces andanalyzes the state of research on car-following simulation model, brings forth themain problems and the suggests for further study.In chapter three, this dissertation analyses the drivers' cognition behavioranalysis in the process of car-following. Based the knowledge of cognitivepsychology, the driver's cognitive synthetic framework is put forward. Theframework integrates reasoning, analyzing with intuition by handling taskdivisionally and parallelly and working competitively and coordinately. By usingthe driver's cognitive synthetic framework, it analyses the driver's cognitionbehavior and the driver's cognition behavior in the course of car-following, whichdevelops theory basic for the driver's cognitive synthetic model in the course ofcar-following and the car-following model based on drivers' cognition behavior inthe next chapter.In chapter four, this dissertation puts forward influential factors in the processof car-following based on factor analysis and phonating and consideringexperiment, integrating the drivers' cognition behavior analysis in the process ofcar-following, conforming the achieved study accomplishment, develops thedriver's cognitive synthetic model in the course of car-following and thecar-following model based on drivers' cognition behavior, which develops theorybasic for comprehensive, systemic, normal research of driver behavior anddevelopment of car-following model.Chapter five is model calibration and model validation by collecting data.Firstly, introduces simply experiment process by Five-wheel system in the courseof car-following and the processing and analysis of the data. This dissertationcombines graphics antitheses with statistical antitheses from microcosmic point ofview to validate the model. Graphics antitheses compares simulated accelerationwith measured acceleration. Statistical antitheses uses double swatch supposingchecking to validate the model. In the course of model validation, it validates thesquare margin and average value separately between the simulation swatch and thetruly measured swatch.Chapter six is the summary. The main research content is summarized and theproblems which need to be researched more deeply are presented.Main achievement of this dissertation:1. Based on the various research literatures, car-following model is dividedinto traditional car-following model, intellectual car-following model and othercar-following model in domestic and foreign countries from different researchtheory and method.
