The automobile which is an very important tool has become a necessaryand basic factor of modern and high-speed development society. At thesame time the high-speed development automobile industry have bring ussafety problem which could be neglected. The number of the side impactedaccidents are merely less than which of the front impacted accidents withrespected to Chinese Police Ministry Communication Bureau statistics.And the grade of the hurt is nearly same between side impact and frontimpact.This paper is carried out combining one vehicle development projectwhich is mastered by FAW Research and Development Center. The paper'smain contents include several points followed.1.Comparing the difference of the side impact standards with respectedto ECE R95 and FMVSS 214.2.Building on one vehicle side impact model. Making use of CATIA softwareto simplifying geometry datas. Plotting out and managing gridding byHYPERMESH software. Setting up the boundary condition of the side impactmodel by VPG software. Finally, solving the model by LS-DYNA.3.One vehicle side impact test(ECE R95). Including preparing processand datas handling after test.4.Comparing the test result with the CAE result. Making accurate analyseby using material character with having different stress strain valueunder different strain ratio. Comparing the deformation configuration,the value of the deformation, acceleration and moving position.5.The application of AHSS in body structure for side impact CAE model.Using AHSS material character for key body structure for side impact CAEmodel。We can confirm the application of AHSS is efficient and highquality.The simulation of body structure for side impact is influenced by manyfactors. But this paper only analysed the AHSS material character'sinfluence. I will think about other factors in the precise simulationanalyse in the next step.
